"Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself."--I Timothy 6:5

Call it what you will--achieving, changing, continuing, developing, evolving, fulfilling, gaining, growing, improving, progressing, reworking, striving, struggling, transforming, trying, working--it is still the same nonsense of becoming.
When you try to become good or better you commit the following errors and-or sins:
  1. You are acting as if you were God.
  2. You are assuming you can be without God.
  3. You are assuming you can do without God.
  4. You are assuming you can know without God.
  5. You are attempting to take credit and all credit belongs only to God.
  6. You are enclosing and encasing yourself in thought.
  7. You are isolating yourself in thought.
  8. You are relying on yourself not God.
  9. You are self-centered and self-absorbed.
  10. You are trying to exist in relation to yourself instead of in relation to God.
  11. You assume you can be good when only God is good.
  12. You do not have the ability to change one thought into another.
  13. You do not have the ability to control thoughts.
  14. You do not have the ability to convert one thought into another.
  15. You have endless pride in your imagined abilities.
  16. You have endless pride in your imagined judgment.

Instead, practice--

humility, surrender, dependence, emptiness, waiting, service, faith, hope, charity, lowliness, single-mindedness.

And all in relation to God not self.

You will be used by ego or God. If you are not used you are not. Choose becoming and you choose ego. Choose waiting and you choose God.
When you are nothing you are somebody and when you are somebody you are nothing. This is why those who reach the top of success, fortune, and-or fame find both it and themselves to be empty: nothing.
You can be or you can continue.
To continue is to positively add thought to thought, death to death as self, as identity.
To be is to negatively drop everything.
Becoming is the desire to lie, hide, and die under the cover of the ideal.
Becoming is your seeking of a facade for darkness: subconsciousness and unconsciousness.
Becoming is your seeking security for your hidden evil in darkness through pretense.
Becoming is the seeking of safety from the light through covering your evil in darkness with beautiful images.
Becoming is the desire to be secure from exposure to the light through identification with the beautiful.
Becoming is seeking to reframe the evil as good in order to safeguard the evil in darkness.
Becoming is cleaning the outside of the cup that the inside might safely remain unclean.
You cannot continue to be something as things do not continue.
Becoming is the creation of the delusion of psychological time.
Becoming is a reframe for the response of the worm: breaking.

Becoming is the denial of the time of being.
