#Observer #Observed: 2018-10-05

•1 We don’t expect a camera to observe without a sensor, and we should not expect human beings to observe without sensors separate from what they sense.
•2 The observer can become so aware of the observed that he/she is no longer aware of himself/herself as the observer.
•3 The observer and the observed are never one; however, one can practice pure reflection to the degree that one is only aware of the observed.
•4 The division of the observer and the observed exists because of mental identification; however, not having or removing the identifying, labeling, or naming does not mean that the observer and the observed also no longer exist.

•5 Awareness, consciousness, and experience all require the existence of both an observer and an observed; however, awareness, consciousness, or experience of the observer or the observed are not required for either to exist.
