Transference Occurs When—
- The counselor notices that the client is viewing the counselor through models that the client has for relationships other than the counselor-client relationship.
- The counselor often notices transference when the client’s models are of relationships that involve parent-to-child or authority-to-subordinate transactions.

Counter-Transference Occurs When—
